The United Nations Environment Programme is working on a plan to cut plastic pollution by 80 percent. The plan could mean more bans and taxes, EPR, deposit programs and reusables. But some NGOs want more, including caps on plastics production.
Bioplastics can help companies reduce their carbon footprint but they need more work to become competitive with fossil fuel-based polymers.
