Processor of the Year
One thing I've learned from coordinating the Processor of the Year award is that few custom plastics manufacturers become successful without changing. Customers, materials and technology are always changing.
As Tom Thompson, president of Processor of the year Teel Plastics notes in a video, workers are key to pushing new ideas forward.
Hoffer Plastics Corp. has only continued to grow since it won the Processor of the Year award in 2012. Now it has been honored with the Sustained Excellence Award.
Medbio LLC is less than 20 years old but already a Processor of the Year finalist and winner of the 2022 Excellence Award for Customer Relations.
Redline Plastics wins the PN Excellence Award for Employee Relations, part of its "golden rule" for the organization.
Radius Packaging, the winner of the 2022 Plastics News Excellence Award for Industry and Public Service, is no longer a family-owned regional blow molder but maintains its strong commitment to the communities where it does business.
Coming into 2022, Processor of the Year winner Teel Plastics LLC had nearly doubled in size in just a few years. It had invested in injection molding and extrusion capacity to make a wide variety of products — most notably nasal swabs used to test for COVID-19.
Teel Plastics stood out as a leader in all of the Processor of the Year criteria, including industry and public service, customer relations, employee relations, financial performance and technological innovation.
